Woodland’s Kermit Pals is a swim instruction program designed for those children, ages 3 and older who want to be on swim team but haven’t yet developed the swimming skill-set to transition to our 6 and under group.

It takes approximately 48 Woodlands parents to staff a home meet and about 25 parents at Away meets. In order to ensure an equitable distribution of this commitment, all parents are asked to begin the season by selecting a minimum of 9 dual meet assignments. In addition, each family will be expected to work at the Conference Meet and the Invitational. For more details on the volunteer job requirements for our 2012 season, click . Volunteer support is vitally important to the running of a meet. When you sign up to work a meet, you must show up on time and ready to work - or someone will have to replace you. If you sign up to work and then you cannot fulfill your obligation, we ask that you find another parent to cover the job for you and that you notify the jobs coordinator - - of the substitution. We do not allow anyone under 18 to work any of the jobs. If you fail to show up for a job or fail to have a replacement, $50 of the Worker Deposit fee will be assessed. If you exceed the $100 deposit fee, your child will not be able to swim until additional fees are paid.
Recreational Swimmer Eligibility
Woodlands is a Recreational Swim Team. Rec swim teams are designed for swimmers who only swim during part of the calendar year. In order to swim on WST, swimmers may not work out with any year round swim program between January 1st and County Meet. Please note: high school swimmers may continue to work-out past the January 1st date. Please check with a Woodlands Swim Team Board Member for more details.
